Paramedic Practitioner - East Surrey Division, Modality Partnership

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Paramedic Practitioners to join the East Surrey Division of Modality Partnership working at Townhill Medical Practice and Smallfield Surgery. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of primary care, providing advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with urgent and same-day healthcare needs. Non-Prescriber salary for this role is £43,000-£45,000 per annum WTE and Prescribers salary is £50,000-£53,000 per annum WTE.

Main duties of the job
This is a hands-on, patient-facing advanced clinical role where you will assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patients presenting with a wide range of conditions within your competence, including minor illness, minor injury, abdominal pain, chest pain, and headaches. You will manage patients with urgent and complex healthcare needs, supporting same-day access and patient flow across Primary Care services. Working collaboratively with GPs, nursing teams, pharmacists, and wider healthcare professionals, you will contribute to innovative ways of working, service improvement, quality initiatives, and new models of care.
The role also offers opportunities to support education, mentorship, and clinical supervision where appropriate. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work resourcefully as part of a wider clinical team. Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining professional boundaries are essential, you will have opportunities to further develop advanced clinical and leadership skills within a progressive organisation.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Relevant experience working as a Paramedic Practitioner in a healthcare setting. Advanced clinical assessment and examination skills. Experience managing patients with complex needs.
Desirable
Experience within General Practice or Primary Care.

Demonstrable commitment to Continuous Professional Development. Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing service demands. Strong time management skills to balance clinical and development responsibilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications Essential
Registered Paramedic. Recognised degree qualification in autonomous practice.
