Job summary
Accountable to the General Manager, the Dermatology Project Manager will work alongside the Cancer and Directorate teams to manage the programme of work to improve and sustain performance against the National Cancer Waiting Time Standards for patients referred on aDermatologycancer pathway.
The Project Manager will have some project and change management skills and experience. They will have had experience working in an NHS environment and will have excellent knowledge of National Cancer Waiting Time Standards and guidance.
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager,will betolead and focus on enhancing and improving the suspected cancer pathway within the Dermatology service and will play a crucial role in coordination and driving delivery of transformational aspects within a defined portfolio across two hospital sites.
Main duties of the job
The focus in the first instance will be on deliverables for the Urgent and Suspected Dermatology Cancer Pathway utilising your project management skills, close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders will be instrumental in the delivery of transformation. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in healthcare management and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
The role willinvolve qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, process mapping, workshop facilitation, change management and implementation among other things. They will also share operational responsibility for the MDT Coordinators and Trackers and will be expected to support in the running of weekly PTLs and pre-PTLs.
The Project Manager will need to have excellent organisation,communicationand negotiation skills. They will be expected toestablishcollaborative relationships with colleagues, working in partnership with clinical and non-clinical colleagues within the Trust and with external agencies.
The Project Manager will be expected to supporttheGeneralandDeputyGeneral Managersto present project progress at divisional andTrust meetings and will develop key milestones and KPIs tomonitorand demonstrate project progress.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience in co-ordination of project management, data management, and reporting management within a healthcare environment. Proven project management/quality improvement experience, including preparing, implementing and delivery to specification, time, and budget. Experience in producing reports, spread sheets and correspondence projects Knowledge and experience of working in an NHS environment Ability to learn from best practice Experience of working on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve team goals Previous experience of managing change Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence and negotiate with staff at all levels Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
