The role will work closely with finance colleagues, information teams, and operational staff to ensure data quality, resolve discrepancies, and provide insights that support productivity, efficiency, and service improvement.
Main duties of the job
To support the delivery of accurate and timely financial and costing information across the Finance function, contributing to effective financial management, reporting, and statutory returns. The post holder will assist in the analysis of activity and income data, support unit costing processes, and maintain financial records and systems in line with NHS reporting requirements.
In addition, the post holder will contribute to monthly financial processes, reconciliations, and national returns, while developing their technical skills through on-the-job learning and have desire to participate in an AAT.
If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
GCSEs Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English. NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a related subject NVQ level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship

Evidence of continued professional development
Experience Essential
Experience of working with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel is essential.

Experience working with large volumes of data. Previous NHS finance experience.
Knowledge Essential
Good numeracy and IT skills. Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures. Ability to use financial systems and follow policies. Be keen to undertake continuous professional development
