An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Medical Staffing Team on a permanent basis, working 15 hours per week.
A key aspect of this role is the efficient management of Medical Division rotas, deployment of medical staff, and coordination of locum cover requirements to ensure safe staffing levels are maintained across the Medical Division wards. This will be in line with agreed minimum staffing levels set by the Associate Chief Medical Director and operational management teams.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting directorate management teams within the Medical Division, while also providing assistance and support to Trust and Deanery doctors. They will act as a key point of contact for staffing and rota-related queries, helping to ensure the smooth running of the service.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative. They will be adaptable and flexible in order to meet the changing needs of the service. The role requires an individual who can work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
Previous experience working within a healthcare environment is desirable; however, it is not essential, as full training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

o Managing and coordinating junior doctor and other rotaso Booking trust bank / locum doctors and arranging shift covero Liaising with recruitment agencies and internal bank staffo Monitoring staffing gaps, annual leave, study leave, and sicknesso Maintaining accurate staffing records and payroll informationo Communicating with clinical teams regarding workforce issueso Ensuring staffing levels meet service and patient safety requirementso Assisting during periods of industrial action or escalation staffing pressures

Educated to GSCE level or equivalent NVQ/Diploma level 3, RSA level 3 or equivalent Administration experience
