We are seeking a Referral to Treatment Times (RTT) Tracker to join our Cancer Waiting Times team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
Band 4 - Part-time position, 30 hours over 5 days
The role of RTT Tracker is to ensure that all data records relating to Referral to Treatment Times (RTT) for patients are accurate, up to date, and reflect national and local policies. This supports the trust to manage its critical access targets relating to 18 weeks.
The post holder will be responsible for validating data for patients on RTT pathways. They will be required to collect and interpret data from a variety of sources and data systems, within and external to the Trust. The post holder will alert the Cancer Data Manager and Deputy Cancer Manager of consistent data recording or performance issues so that corrective action can be taken to avoid unnecessary delays in patient care.
They will undertake detailed patient level validation and liaison with teams and external organisations to obtain and record accurate information for monitoring purposes. They will also undertake monitoring of the Trusts Ethnicity data capture KPI and assist in other validation tasks such as 31 day validation.
Main duties of the job
Independently analyse, interpret, and apply RTT rules and definitions using local guidance and policy.
Determine correct clock starts and stops by reviewing patient pathways from referral through diagnostics, treatment planning, and treatment.
Correct inaccurate referrals and data entries where necessary after exploring a range of facts or situations to help reach your decision.
Identify and assess data quality issues, performance concerns, and governance risks.
Make informed decisions regarding patient pathway stages and target breaches.
Assist in validation of 31 day pathways alongside Cancer Waiting Times team.
Monitor compliance against trusts Ethnicity data capture KPI.
