Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, patient focused, experienced dispenser to join our friendly dispensing practice in Leicestershire.
The successful candidate will hold either a Buttercups qualification or equivalent in Pharmacy Services.

Process and interpret prescriptions efficiently and accuratelyPick items efficiently, accurately and check own work for accuracyDispense and check acute and repeat prescriptions, safely and accurately.Working knowledge of GPhC regulations on dispensing practices (i.e. labelling, storage, hygiene requirements)Work within all relevant practice polices and standard operating proceduresKeep accurate records of controlled drugs and ensure they are dispensed in accordance with practice policyOrder and receive medicines into stock, both manually and electronically, whilst managing effective stock rotation.Greeting patients and handing out prepared prescriptionsCollection of prescription charges / checking patient exemption statementsFiling completed prescriptions and bundling prescriptions for the prescription pricing authoritySupport the Dispensary Team/Partnership in maintaining dispensary profitabilityPreferred experience in the assembly of Monitored Dosage System blister packs

Process and interpret prescriptions efficiently and accurately.Pick dispensing items accurately and check own work for accuracy.Dispense and check acute and repeat prescriptions safely and accurately.Maintain a working knowledge of GPhC regulations relating to dispensing practice, including labelling, storage, and hygiene requirements.Work within all relevant practice policies and standard operating procedures.Maintain accurate controlled drug records and ensure medicines are dispensed in accordance with practice policy.Order, receive, and manage medicines stock, both manually and electronically, ensuring effective stock rotation.Greet patients and hand out prepared prescriptions.Collect prescription charges and check exemption statements where applicable.File completed prescriptions and prepare prescription bundles for submission to the Prescription Pricing Authority.Support the dispensary team and partners in maintaining dispensary profitability.Assist with the assembly of Monitored Dosage Systems (blister packs) where required.Conduct Dispensing Review of Use of Medicines (DRUMs) with patients.Skills and ExperienceEssential:
Buttercups qualification or equivalent Pharmacy Services qualification.Experience working within a dispensing environment.Excellent IT skills, including experience using clinical systems (SystmOne desirable).Strong numeracy and literacy skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Professional and courteous telephone manner.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively to deadlines.Desirable:
Experience with Monitored Dosage Systems (blister packs).Experience undertaking DRUMs.Knowledge of SystmOne.
