Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a full time Band 3 administrator to come and work within our busy and friendly team, the Adult Psychology Service.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong attention to detail, to provide comprehensive administrative support to the team.
The successful candidate will require ability to multi-task and work flexibly to manage the workload in accordance with agreed quality standards, and demonstrate a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook and Word.
The post will be based at 30 Maiden Castle Road, Dorchester.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the provision of a professional and efficient and confidential administration service and a high standard of customer care.
Provide information to patients, staff, carers, relatives, G.Ps and Community Mental Health Teams, relating to appointments, patient care, service pathways and meetings. This should be done alongside the maintenance of computer systems, spreadsheets and databases that are required by the team.The role also requires answering the phone, using sound communication skills, sometimes being required to respond calmly to challenging or aggressive communication from patients.
You will also be required to maintain Excel databases, in addition to assisting with audits and surveys.
