Main duties of the job As a Food and Beverage Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your main responsibility will be to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals at Elton House Care Home in Watford. Your duties will include supporting residents in choosing their meal options, setting dining tables according to standard procedures, keeping the front of house clean and tidy by removing dirty crockery, and replenishing fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger food, and fresh fruit options in the bistro areas. You will need to be mindful of residents' dietary requirements and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene. Compassion and commitment to delivering quality culinary services to residents are essential. Experience in a similar setting, such as a restaurant or hotel, is desirable. Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial, and a DBS Disclosure check is required for this role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day. Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options. Being aware of residents dietary requirements.

Qualifications Essential
Experience working in a similar setting, such as a restaurant or hotel, is desirable. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
