Main duties of the job As a Support Worker at Elysium Healthcare in Sunbury-on-Thames, you will be instrumental in making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with mental health conditions. In this role, you will leverage your experience and compassion to support those in need, working within an inclusive team that prioritizes recognition, support, and teamwork. You'll be involved in daily activities such as ward rounds, behavior analysis, patient record updates, and providing general care, including assisting with personal hygiene. Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 7.5 hours a day, between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including weekends on rota. Permanent, full-time, 37.5 weekly hours contract. Where you will be working:
Location: School House, School Walk, Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, TW16 6RB
School House provides a specialist residential service for all gender identities who have a learning disability, or who are autistic, and have behaviours which, due to their diagnosis may be of concern/distress. The service is staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Support Workers, led by an experienced Registered Manager School House is situated in Surrey and provides nine en suite bedrooms, and a self-contained flat. There are two lounges, one of which includes a sensory room, as well as a dining room, kitchen and surrounding garden. Qualifications Essential
Relevant experience in mental health or healthcare support roles is preferred.
