Main duties of the job The Operational Trainer position at Barchester Healthcare is crucial in maintaining the high standard of care provided across its 240 care homes and hospitals. The trainer will deliver both induction and development training to approximately five facilities within a designated region, ensuring that all staff members are capable of delivering person-centred and compassionate care. Trainers act as important initial contacts for new hires, requiring them to reflect the Barchester ethos and demonstrate passion for their work. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering training in line with organisational objectives, updating training calendars, managing employee training files, and providing ongoing support to new employees. The job requires travel within a specific region as it is a home-based role. Qualifications include a C&G 7300 or equivalent, a Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care, two years of training experience, a working knowledge of care sector legislation, and a full UK driving licence.
