About this role

Job summary

We are looking for a friendly, organised and customerfocused Receptionist to join the Corporate Services team at Scorex House, the new headquarters of NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.

This role sits at the heart of the organisation, providing frontofhouse support and helping to ensure the smooth daytoday running of our main office base. You will be part of a small, supportive team working closely with Corporate Services colleagues, wider ICB teams, and external visitors and partners.

Main duties of the job

As the first point of contact for staff, partners and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional and wellmanaged environment. The role is varied and combines reception duties with administrative and facilities support, including answering and directing telephone calls, managing post and deliveries, coordinating meeting room and desk bookings, and ensuring rooms are set up and ready. You will also support virtual and facetoface meetings and events, maintain visitor signin and health and safety procedures, and help monitor shared office spaces and facilities.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and delivering a high standard of customer service, is well organised and flexible, and can manage competing priorities in a busy environment. You will be confident using Microsoft 365 and telephone systems, understand the importance of confidentiality, data protection and equality, diversity and inclusion, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

The postholder will be expected to manage a steady daily workflow, responding promptly to enquiries, balancing multiple requests, and maintaining accurate records and systems. The role suits someone who enjoys routine, structure and regular interaction with people, and who can work calmly and efficiently while meeting daytoday service expectations.
