Job summary
Clinical or Counselling Psychologist in Sarum Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), for adults of working age; to provide specialist psychological interventions, supervision and training.
The post is based within the CMHT, with dedicated time available for those wishing to develop their therapy skills. We offer expert supervision in CBT, CAT, ACT, CFT, EMDR, and DBT. You will also be part of Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS), which includes a wide range of psychological professions. We are a supportive, friendly and innovative team who meet monthly.
Fountain Way site is located only a short stroll away from the centre of Salisbury, a beautiful cathedral city, with direct trains to London. Salisbury offers all the advantages of city living, whilst surrounded by beautiful countryside, and iconic archaeological sites including the world-famous Stonehenge.
Main duties of the job
To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and carers within the Sarum CMHT.
To provide highly specialist advice and consultation on clients' formulation and psychological management to other non-psychologist colleagues.
To use highly specialist psychological knowledge and skills to contribute to the more effective management of patients by the various teams in the area and where appropriate outside of the area.
To clinically supervise/line manage trainee clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, CAPs and less experienced psychology staff, and other professionals.
To contribute to audit, research, policy and service development within Sarum CMHT, and Wiltshire PTS.
To develop and deliver training in psychological therapies for multidisciplinary staff.
To provide a lead role for psychological provision within Sarum CMHT.

Education and Qualifications Essential
