Exciting opportunity for a GP to join our dynamic team.

We are a large, friendly, supportive team offering high quality patient centred care.

Main duties of the job

4 sessions per week including a Friday (Required) £10,500 per session Six weeks annual leave and one week study leave (pro rata) entitlement Weekly on call surgeries, including managing online triage requests. Would be required to supervise other clinicians, including resident doctors and ANP's Approved sponsor Practice for tier 2 visa doctors Clarity Toolkit and Indemnity paid by Practice BMA Contract Diverse patient population of 13,000 Operating from purpose built, modern premises EMIS Total Accurx triage Training Practice for GP ST's and Medical Students Special interests and development of leadership skills actively encouraged - we have Clinical Directors, HCP leads, Medical Student Educators and programme directors amongst our team. Research Active Practice Mix of face to face, telephone, on the day and book ahead appointments 15 minute appointments for face to face book ahead appointments Low home visiting rate Daily coffee meetings In-house education meetings twice a month, in addition to monthly practice meetings and PLT Highly trained administrators who deal with the majority of incoming docman mail, QOF and medication management Consistent high QOF scores 4.5 star google rating

Job description Job responsibilities

Conduct face to face, telephone and online consultations Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions Prescribe medications and treatments safely and appropriately in order with clinical guidelines Request, interpret and act upon laboratory tests, imaging and other investigationsRefer patients appropriately to secondary care, community services and specialist teams when necessaryProvide health promotion, disease prevention and lifestyle advice and modifications to improve patient health outcomesManage patients with complex and multiple health conditionsMaintain accurate clinical recordsSupport national screening and vaccination programmesParticipate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiativesContribute to the achievement of practice and NHS quality standardsAdhere to professional, ethical and legal requirements including confidentiality and safeguarding proceduresWork collaboratively with our teamAttend Practice meetings and multidisciplinary team discussionsSupport the training and supervision of medical students, GP trainees and other healthcare professionals where appropriate

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

GMC registration to practice as a GP On GP Performers list MRCGP Membership of a medical defence union Able to practice medicine in the UK independently Engagement in ongoing professional development Ability to/enthusiasm for supervising trainees and medical students (support will be provided for this) Self motivated and able to work independently with support from the wider clinical team Interested in actively addressing the health needs of the practice population Competence in skills needed for the role GP - eg communication, IT, interpersonal, teamworking, time-management

Desirable

Interest in teaching and/or training Interest in community working eg care home or school clinical support Interest in developing leadership roles within the practice Understanding of local (Coventry) primary care service provision
