Job summary
Dudley Wood Surgery is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking practice for 4 sessions per week.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and patient-centred GP to become part of a well-established multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality care to our local community. We are looking for a clinician who is confident managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions and who enjoys working collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and practice services.

Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone, and remote consultations.Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions.Prescribe safely and effectively in line with current clinical guidelines and best practice.Undertake medication reviews and manage repeat prescribing requests.Review and action pathology results, clinical correspondence, and investigations.Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services.Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records.Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff.Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews, and governance activities.Attend mandatory practice clinical meetings (CPT meetings) as part of clinical governance and team working.Contribute to quality improvement projects, audits, and service development initiatives.Support the delivery of enhanced services and practice objectives.Engage in continuing professional development (CPD), appraisal, and revalidation requirements.Support undergraduate teaching and supervision of medical students, or be willing to undertake GP trainer training to develop into a recognised GP trainer role.Contribute to the ongoing improvement of patient access, safety, and quality of care across the practice.

Dudley Wood Surgery is a small, friendly and patient-focused GP practice providing high-quality primary care services to our local community. We have a close-knit clinical team consisting of three regular GPs, including our GP Partner, Dr Kalsi, who leads the practice. We also have a dedicated Nurse Practitioner, a Healthcare Assistant, and a wider team of experienced administrative staff.
We are strongly supported by our Primary Care Network (PCN), which provides access to a range of extended healthcare professionals, enabling us to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for our patients. This includes enhanced clinical support and additional services that complement our core GP provision.

Qualifications Essential
Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) or equivalent qualification Completion of GP training and possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent Proven experience working independently as a qualified GP within UK General Practice

Substantive post-CCT experience in General Practice (desirable minimum of 2 years or equivalent experience) Experience managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions in a primary care setting Experience of safe prescribing and medicines management within primary care Experience working within a multidisciplinary team Skills and Attributes Excellent clinical decision-making and consultation skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement Ability to work collaboratively within a small practice team and wider PCN network Additional Requirements Commitment to attending CPT (clinical practice team) meetings and governance activities Willingness to support undergraduate teaching and/or undertake GP trainer training Commitment to ongoing CPD, appraisal, and revalidation requirements
