About this role

Job summary Clatterbridge Dialysis Unit is a nurse led unit based on the Clatterbridge Hospital site. At Clatterbridge we care for Chronic Renal Patients providing Dialysis treatment. The unit is run by Lynda Hindley and Janet Madigan who manage a team of experienced dialysis nurses.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate needs to have an interest in dialysis and be motivated to learn an entire new skill set. They need to be organised with excellent communication skills.

The role involves assessing dialysis patient's pre-treatment, whilst ensuring that their treatment is problem free.

The candidate will need to have excellent time management and be able to work effectively within a team of experienced renal nurses.

Full training will be given to the successful candidate.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard/enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training Essential

1 st Level NMC Registration Evidence of Professional Development Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse Experience of maintaining accurate records Relevant clinical knowledge and experience

Desirable

Willing to undertake NMC Assessor and mentorship Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards degree Relevant or willingness to undertake relevant module/course NHS Experience Awareness of Health Policies and the changing NHS environment
