Job summary
The EPRR (Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response) Manager will have day to day responsibility for business continuity across the Trust, taking responsibility for delivery as directed by the Head of EPRR. They will supervise the EPRR officer and liaise with the Head of EPRR.
Main duties of the job
o Develop EPRR plans and policies as directed by the Head of EPRR.o Develop business continuity plans while working directly with service managers.o Advise clinical staff regarding mitigation of EPRR risks to patient care.o Develop plans that reflect the specific service users and services covered and modify plans accordingly.o Implement agreed EPRR policies and plans across the organization.o Organize the evaluation, approval and ratification of plans through appropriate governance processes.o Communicate, engage effectively, and involve all partners and regulators in EPRR work.o Act as a point of contact and a subject matter expert on EPRR within the team.o Participate in health economy EPRR meetings as agreed with the Head of EPRR.o Disseminate information relating to EPRR, including national guidance, and sharing of lessons learnt from internal/external incidents.o Manage and distribute incident response rotas as directed by the Head of EPRR or Strategic Commanders.o Deputise for the Head of EPRR in all relevant EPRR activities within the Trust and at city and regional level.

Qualifications Essential
The post holder will have a recognized qualification in emergency planning or business continuity or be able to demonstrate significant progress to achieving the qualification.
Skills Essential
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Experience Desirable
Four years' experience in working in a senior emergency planning officer role in the NHS or comparative, complex organisation Experience of designing and running emergency exercises Experience of training staff in EPRR and business continuity topics.
Understanding Essential
Sound understanding of NHS EPRR requirements.
Values Desirable
