Salary: $120k-$130k (depending on experience)
Work Location: This is a remote position. (see onsite requirements below).
**On-Site Requirements: Work location is remote. Candidates are preferred to reside in the DMV area to be able to come into Saalex's Corporate Headquarters as needed.
Essential Functions:
Pricing Strategy & Cost Development
Develop pricing strategies aligned with win objectives and business goalsBuild and maintain detailed cost/pricing models (labor, indirect rates, fee, ODCs)Perform price-to-win and competitive pricing assessments; track market and competitor trendsAnalyze historical data to identify cost drivers and profitability opportunitiesEvaluate labor mix, LOE, and escalation to optimize pricingFinancial Modeling & Data Management
Create financial models to assess pricing scenarios and impact on revenue and marginsMaintain and update pricing data, rate libraries, and internal systemsEnsure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of pricing inputs and outputsCross-Functional Support & Reporting
Collaborate with Capture, Proposal, Sales, and Marketing teams to support pricing strategy, promotions, and discounting approachesProvide clear pricing reports, analyses, and recommendations to leadershipProposal Execution
Lead pricing efforts from RFP release through submissionInterpret RFP requirements (Section B/L/M) and ensure full compliancePrepare cost volumes, narratives, and required pricing templatesSupport internal reviews (Pink/Red/Green/Gold teams) and final submissionSubcontractor Pricing Management
Lead subcontractor data calls and coordinate multiple subsIssue RFQs, collect pricing inputs, and track responsesReview subcontractor rates, LOEs, and assumptions for compliancePerform price/cost analysis and support subcontractor negotiationsCompliance & Audit Readiness
Ensure all pricing is compliant with FAR/DFARS and DCAA requirementsValidate cost elements, assumptions, and supporting documentationMaintain audit-ready files and traceability of all pricing inputsCross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Proposal, Capture, Finance, and Technical teamsValidate staffing plans, assumptions, and cost driversSupport leadership with pricing summaries and decision briefingsData & Process Improvement
Maintain historical pricing data and benchmarking inputsIdentify opportunities to improve pricing processes and templatesSupport development of standard cost build models and toolsOther duties as assigned or required

Required:
Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS and DCAA requirementsAdvanced Excel skills (complex models, formulas, large datasets)Experience managing subcontractor pricing and data callsGovernment proposal pricing (CPFF, T&M, FFP) including GSA Schedule ContractsCost modeling and financial analysisAttention to detail and audit defensibilityAbility to manage multiple proposals simultaneouslyStrong communication and cross-functional coordination
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field and 8+ years of experience in government proposal pricing required.
