First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant III to join our Maui Region team to support the Region Manager and the regional banking operations. Compensation: The pay range for the role is $22.00 - $30.00/hr; commensurate with experience Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative functions, including travel coordination, expense processing, staffing oversight and training logistics, while ensuring efficient regional operations. The Administrative Assistant III serves as a liaison between customers and branches to facilitate timely resolution of concerns. Additionally, the role will collaborate cross-functionally with internal business units to coordinate training, events, and regional initiatives, and supports budget-related activities and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have:
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required • Associate's degree in liberal arts or business-related field preferred • Three years of experience working in an administrative support role required; branch/banking atmosphere highly desirable • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage complex administrative functions, including travel logistics, staffing support, training coordination and event planning • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, customers, vendors, and cross-functional partners • Exercises sound judgement and discretion in handling confidential information, including personnel, financial, and customer-related matters • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage expenses, reports, records, and operational processes with consistent follow-through • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint) • Effective time management and planning skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and support regional operational demands
