QualificationsTo be qualified for the GS-12 Management Analyst, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as applying a basic foundation of administrative concepts, principles and practices, and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative and support operations. Examples of such experience are: analyzing office procedures to ensure they meet organizational needs; analyzing and evaluating data and information for reporting purposes; communicating with management, other agencies and external organizations to resolve issues; developing and implementing operating procedures; analyzing and evaluating information to create data reports. Major DutiesIf selected for this position you will join a well-respected team in the Eastern District of Virginia at the United States Attorney's Office performing a variety of analytical and administrative duties that support the management and operations of the Alexandria Office's Criminal Division. Typical work assignments will include: - Providers administrative, programmatic, and operational support for programs such as the case management system, discovery, and forensics. - Prepares, organizes, and maintains the division Intranet using a variety of legal documentation. - Collaborates with management to develop and analyze policies and standard operating procedures to ensure Division procedures and processes are effective, efficient and productive. - Utilizes qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to compile data relevant to the District. - Provides support in complex criminal litigation to include, among other tasks, preparing court documents and pleadings and discovery - Manages and produces responses to internal requests for assistance from management, other agencies and external organizations. - Works closes with management in coordinating, developing, evaluating and delivering training. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
