We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Technical Officer – Electrical & Type B gas appliances to join us in our Operations & Maintenance based in Dandenong or Brooklyn, VIC on a Full Time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Team leader - Technical Services, you will play a key role in carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance to fixed and mobile plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, reliable and compliant operation of electrical systems and Type B gas appliances through planned inspections, maintenance and testing. • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities, including fault finding, repairs and component replacements, in line with established procedures and safety standards. • Provide technical support to engineering and project teams, contributing to upgrades, improvements and new asset installations. • Maintain accurate maintenance records, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support the optimisation of asset performance. • Participate in an on-call roster to respond to operational issues and minimise disruption to critical infrastructure.

Your background

• Hold an unrestricted A Grade Electrical Licence, Type B Gas Appliance Licence (Plumbing) and a current Victorian Driver Licence. • Demonstrated experience maintaining, fault finding and repairing electrical equipment and Type B gas appliances in an industrial or operational environment. • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently while following procedures and prioritising safety at all times. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across operations, maintenance and engineering teams. • Additional qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control, Hazardous Area electrical qualifications or an Advanced Type B Gas Appliance Licence will be highly regarded.
