Job SummaryAbout the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the 31 Force Support Squadron, Bowling Center, Aviano AB, Italy. The primary purpose of this position incumbent is responsible for manning the customer service desk within the bowling center.

In accordance with the Status of Forces agreement between Italy and the US, you must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card. Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, may be eligible for local national positions on base. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country. The 31st Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability control methods is required. Must be 18 years old or older to service alcohol. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level/NACI) is required.
Major DutiesTypes of duties include but are not limited to the following: handle and collects cash and credit transactions, takes reservations and payments for scheduled activities, operates Point of Sales system (POS), assigns lockers, assists in taking inventory and replenish pro-shop merchandise, as needed. Responsible for basic slot machine operations and slot pay outs. Decorates and cleans up for scheduled activities (i.e. for special events, activities, or parties). Responsible for manning the customer service desk and maintains the cleanliness of assigned work areas (i.e., tables, restrooms, floors & shoes). Posts announcements and recruits participants for scheduled activities regarding leagues, tournaments, special events. Provides facility and program information to patrons. Informs supervisor/mechanic of equipment malfunctions that may require attention. Opens and closes facility as required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
