You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Computer proficient, extensive knowledge in desktop publishing, including InDesign/Adobe Creative Suites, including work examples of projects produced; experience with, Genius (basketball and Soccer) and StatCrew for Baseball, Statbroadcast statistical software essential. Posses strong organization skills and excellent in oral, written and interpersonal skills including interviewing skills. Experience with web management (Netitor or related software), social media platforms and content publishing. Must demonstrate extensive ability in feature story writing with multiple work examples of published works. Must be able to multitask and work under deadline pressure. Must be able to speak, write and communicate in fluent English and have normal hearing. Must have the ability for regular and recurring physical exertion such as long visits to outdoor sites and sporting events, with exposure to inclement weather. Must have a valid driver's license. Completion of a Tier One investigation is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Major DutiesAthletic communications coordinator is responsible for assisting with the execution of the media and public relations plans for 27-sport intercollegiate Division I programs. Responsible for overall operations of goairforcefalcons.com for sports assigned. Serves are primary media relations contact for Baseball, Women's soccer and Swimming and select other sports with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, working as the primary liaison with media relations contacts; writing press releases, championship preparation and coverage; and administering athletic (regular and postseason); academic awards programs in those sports; reporting to conference and national offices. Lead efforts on social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc) for selected sports. Design and edit record books, media guides, programs and flyers using Adobe Creative Suites, including InDesign and Photoshop. Create original content for the official website goairforcefalcons.com and various social media platforms, including, but not limited to, writing feature stories, Q&As and more. May be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty. Other related duties as assigned.
