A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work Experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a Garrison, or similar civilian community, for at least one year. Knowledge of programming, planning, budgeting, and long range planning. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Five years of supervisory experience managing one or more NAF Support Division functions at or above NF-4, or equivalent level -OR- Five years of supervisory experience as an FMWR Division Chief at the NF-5 level with demonstrated knowledge and experience working closely with NAF Support services functions, e.g. NAF budget development and execution, financial management, internal controls, property management, MWR automation, strategic planning. 2. Proven ability to supervise staffing requirements, track the progress of hiring actions, and coordinate with HR to resolve personnel matters. 3. Skill in leveraging MS Power Platform and other workflow automation tools?to drive analytics and eliminate manual processes. 4. Experience developing, publishing and implementing policies and procedures applicable to FMWR programs and activities, applying knowledge of DoW and Army policies and regulations. Major DutiesThrough subordinate activity managers, is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Support Division at a large garrison.Provides policies and guidance to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division. Performs liaison with and coordinates programs with AAFES and other garrison agencies.Reviews and evaluates progress of program plans to determine whether overall objectives are being accomplished economically with reference to budget and manpowerProvides leadership and supervision, and communicates mission and organization goals to subordinates. Applies knowledge of programming, planning, and budgeting and long-range MWR resources.Directs and develops finance and accounting operations through various services to include receipt of, distribution of, and accounting for NAF.
