Research Assistant (TCM-driven mental wellness hub) (25260754)

Project introduction:

TCM-driven Mental Wellness Project is a platform providing evidence-based Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preventive and treatment services for the high-risk population and patients with common mental disorders in the community. The platform fosters interdisciplinary pilot cooperation between TCM and counselling, which enhances capacity building, research development, and network collaboration.

The appointee will be responsible for conducting clinical study of Chinese Medicine and mental health.

Responsibilities:

• Contact participants and assist in arranging related activities or treatment services; • Handle patient appointments and records; • Assist with daily project operations; • Manage participant enrollment and follow-up in clinical trials; • Answer participant inquiries related to the study and provide clear explanations of research procedures; • Perform data collection, entry, and management; • Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines for human subject research; • Assist with general administrative work and organising events; • Assist Chinese medicine practitioners with consultations and treatments when necessary; and • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Chinese medicine, psychology, public health, nursing, or a related field; • Experience in clinical research is preferrable; • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitasking; • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; • Strong attention to details and accuracy in data management; • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team; and • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The initial appointment will commence as soon as possible and continue until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The appointee will be required to work on weekends and/ or public holidays.
