Job SummaryYou will serve as a DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR STRATEGY, PLANS AND POLICY in the POLICY AND PLANS DIRECTORATE of PAC FLEET SUB FORCE OPS COMPONENT.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in strategic or operational planning; evaluating submarine force proposals or policy changes; and providing technical advice to senior leadership. Demonstrated understanding of submarine operations, logistics, or maintenance. Major DutiesYou will evaluate the content of doctrine and policies for projected impact upon Operational War Plans and related contingencies and combat resources.You will serve as project manager for broad studies and analyses involving several agencies which are of significant interest to the public and government.You will serve as an advisory for Command groups, cross-functional teams and operational planning teams (OPT).You will be the commander for developing and influencing current and future policy and planning efforts.You will develop, implement, and execute broad programs based on new legislation, new platforms, changing weapons capabilities, new weapons and acoustic sensor systems and improved communications technology.
