QualificationsGENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience which demonstrates journeyman level knowledge of the work to be performed. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the WS-10 level, in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, you must have at least 36 months of specialized experience with demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise of the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
Major DutiesAs a COMPOSITE FABRICATOR SUPERVISOR-Title 32, WS-4352-10, you will perform supervision of workers performing maintenance on Low Observable (LO)/low signature aircraft (B-2/F-22/F-35). The occupation and grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is WG-10. MAJOR DUTIES: 1. Planning: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies. Determines skills, materials and equipment required to do the work. 2. Work Direction: Reviews tasks to be performed. Ensures prescribed methods and procedures; informs subordinates on new procedures and provides assistance on problems. 3. Administration: Convenes an interview board and conducts interviews during hiring process. Recommends individuals to fill vacancies, for promotion, or reassignment. 4. Implements safety regulatory requirements. Ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. 5. May act as the Activity Security Manager (ASM) who oversees the security program. Ensures personnel receive annual security training and provides required documentation to maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs). 6. Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsMILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Military Grades: E-7 through E-8 **Must possess 2AXXX or 2WXXX AFSC** Conditions of Employment: Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
