Job SummaryTHIS IS AN ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA). This position is part of the AZ 162nd Wing, Arizona National Guard under PDT6380000.
QualificationsSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
Major DutiesThis position is located with the 162d Wing, 214th Attack Group, at Davis Monthan AFB, Tucson, Arizona. The position is administratively owned by the FSS, as reflected in the Unit Manning Document (UMD), and falls under the supervisory control of the CSS Superintendent for full-time resource management. The primary purpose of this role is to evaluate and manage the training and education program on behalf of the ANG. The incumbent provides overall oversight and management of the training and educational program, ensuring training compliance, readiness, and career development support across multiple units. The position serves as a liaison between the units they support and the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Force Development Office (FDO), which is the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for training programs. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG) to ensure standardization and compliance with established policies and procedures.
