The Role Weatherford is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead TRS and ISDT operations in India. This is a newly created role with responsibility for managing field operations, service delivery, safety, quality, financial performance and customer support across both product lines. The role will oversee a team of Operations Supervisors, Coordinators, Account Managers and Project Engineers, with indirect responsibility for a wider operational workforce of 50+ people. This position is suited to someone who has strong hands-on deepwater experience, has managed complex field operations, and can lead teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day TRS and ISDT field operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery. • Manage operational planning, crew utilisation, asset utilisation, inventory and equipment readiness. • Provide technical and logistical support to field teams and customers before, during and after jobs. • Take ownership of P&L performance across the product lines, including forecasting, cost control, budgeting, capex, inventory and receivables. • Drive operational KPIs, service quality, safety performance and continuous improvement initiatives. • Lead, coach and manage direct reports, with indirect responsibility for a larger field workforce. • Partner closely with Sales, Service Quality, Technical Sales and Shared Services to support customer requirements and business growth. • Maintain strong customer relationships and support commercial discussions, bids, pricing and job delivery. • Ensure compliance with Weatherford’s HSE, quality, operational and financial processes. • Support recruitment, retention, performance management and development of key operational talent. Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered. • Minimum 7+ years’ relevant operations experience, ideally with 8–15 years’ overall experience. • Strong hands-on deepwater experience is essential. • Experience managing field operations, crews, equipment/assets and complex projects. • Previous people leadership experience, ideally managing supervisors, coordinators, engineers or field teams. • At least 2 years’ exposure to P&L, budgeting, forecasting or cost control. • Strong understanding of product line operations, technical job planning and service quality requirements. • Experience working in a matrix organisation with strong collaboration across operations, sales, service quality and support functions. • Customer-focused, commercially aware and confident making decisions in high-pressure environments. • Strong communication, leadership, influencing, planning and problem-solving skills. • Suitable backgrounds may include Operations Manager, Project Manager, Drilling Engineer, Senior Drilling Engineer, Drilling Superintendent or experienced Operations Supervisor ready to step up.
