About this role
Job Overview: The Well Planner II supports the development of well plans and engineering designs to enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations. The role works closely with senior engineers, drilling teams, and clients to contribute to well design, planning activities, and operational execution. Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development of well plans, including trajectories, drilling programs • Perform basic to intermediate engineering calculations (e.g., hydraulics, torque & drag) • Support the operational schedules • Analyze offset well data to support planning and optimization • Collaborate with drilling supervisors and engineers. • Identify potential risks and support mitigation planning • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements • Prepare technical documentation, End of Well Report , and well programs • Provide support to ongoing drilling operations when required • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Skills:
• Basic understanding of well planning and drilling engineering principles • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills • Good communication and teamwork skills • Willingness to learn and develop in a technical environment • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven setting • Proficiency in Turkish, English; additional languages are a plus • Familiarity with engineering or drilling software is an advantage Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum/ Reservoir Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field • Minimum 1+ year of experience in drilling engineering, well planning, or related field • Basic knowledge of drilling operations and well design concepts • Exposure to oil & gas industry practices (internships or field experience considered) • Proficiency in Turkish, English; additional languages are a plus #LI-MD1
