The Opportunity
As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient electrical commissioning activities at Hinkley Point C (HPC). You’ll resolve technical challenges, support testing, and help ensure readiness for operations as part of our journey towards An Electric Britain.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based on site at our Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to daily commissioning progress on one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects.
You’ll support complex technical decisions, from reviewing commissioning test results to producing phase reports. This is a unique opportunity to build expertise in electrical commissioning within a highly regulated environment, while contributing to nationally significant infrastructure.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Commissioning Engineer with an electrical bias who can deliver technical analysis, resolve commissioning issues, and support regulated plant activities. Are you experienced in…?
Delivering electrical engineering support across commissioning activities within a regulated industry such as nuclear, energy, utilities or complex infrastructure environmentsApplying UK electrical legislation and regulatory frameworks, including CDM requirementsSupporting plant-based commissioning activities, including triage, troubleshooting, and resolving technical queries on siteProducing technical documentation including analysis reports and end-of-commissioning reportsReviewing, verifying and validating commissioning test results, identifying non-conformances and recommending solutionsTo be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
