About this role

This position is a 1.0 FTE located within the Office of Special Education. Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable about special education policies and procedures. • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Familiar with Synergy SIS and SE. • Knowledgeable about positive behavioral supports. • Knowledgeable of Section 504. Experience:

• At least three years experience in special education or related fields. • Experience and ability in reviewing and evaluating assessment data prepared for the special education process. • Experience working with students with special needs. • Experience working in schools as a teacher. Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Special Education or related field. • Eligibility for a Postgraduate Certificate, with endorsement in one or more disability areas covered under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act or in related field. • Successful evaluations for last three years. • Familiarity with models of inclusion. • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required. Salary: Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
