About this role
Per-diem, generally overnight shift position available to NYS certified security guards or those able to be licensed (or meet law enforcement exemption) within 30 days of employment, and possess a valid driver’s license. Skidmore is seeking candidates generally for the Midnight to 8:00 AM Shift, including some weekends and holidays. When selecting applicants, priority will be given to those who can meet that specific schedule. Position is responsible for ensuring the safety of the campus community in a customer service centric manner. Campus Safety Officers conduct safety training, patrol, community outreach, report writing, emergency response, render first-aid, investigate incidents, document violations of law or policy and interacting with a diverse population. Involves vehicle and foot patrol, periodic dispatching and desk duties. There will be a background check. Prior applicants are encouraged to reapply.
