This is a key role within a strategic initiative focused on shaping the industrialization of next-generation power electronics systems. You will drive the industrialization, manufacturing readiness, and cost optimization of power electronics systems such as Intermediate Bus Converters (IBC), power cores / power stacks, and related assemblies. As the key interface between internal development teams and external manufacturing partners, you will ensure that product designs are manufacturable, scalable, cost-competitive, and ready for volume production.
Industrialization & Manufacturing Expertise
• Lead the industrialization of power electronics systems from concept in the product definition phase through A/B/C/D samples in the product development phase to volume production • Provide deep expertise in relevant manufacturing technologies such as large-area sintering (Ag/Cu), large-area soldering, and injection molding / overmolding • Define and validate scalable manufacturing processes, yield targets, and industrial robustness
External Manufacturing Partner Strategy and Management
• Identify, evaluate, and shortlist partners in close collaboration with the Purchasing Team and External Manufacturing Team • Execute structured supplier selection and qualification processes covering technical capability, cost, quality, and scalability • Act as the primary interface to manufacturing partners during development, ramp-up, and volume production • Steer and challenge partners on manufacturability, quality, process maturity, yields, and cost performance
Cost & Design Optimization
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) feedback into internal development • Contribute to cost optimization on design and process level, including material choices, automation potential, and yield improvements • Support validation of cost models using supplier data and manufacturing inputs
Cross-Functional Interface
• Lead collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Project Management • Ensure transparent feedback loops between design, industrialization, and manufacturing • Support decision-making through structured assessments of feasibility, cost, and risk

What we are looking for:
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant professional experience • Strong experience in industrialization of electronic systems • Strong experience working with external manufacturing / contract manufacturing partners • Proven Project Management experience • Strong hands-on knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies • Strong industrial and cost-oriented mindset • Ability to translate engineering concepts into manufacturable solutions • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills • Structured, analytical approach to supplier evaluation and decision-making
Additional Qualifications (Nice-to-have)
• Experience in automotive industry incl. Automotive standards • Deep expertise in manufacturing technologies (e.g. sintering, advanced packaging, overmolding) • Experience with cost modeling and supplier quotation analysis
