About this role
The role is for a Director within our ‘Credit Risk Solutions’, Credit & Political Risk Insurance team, based in Singapore. This role will involve working in a team focusing on a broad base of Singapore and International Financial Institution clients. Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Taking responsibly for account management of key Financial Institution accounts; including broking/placement strategy, product development, portfolio management and expanding client relationships • Working with existing clients to review their existing programs, presenting the best possible solutions and client outcomes • Negotiation of policy wordings / contract reviews • Contribute to delivery of our new business strategy and targets within the Global Line of Business • Proactively lead initiatives for new and existing clients • Attend and present at industry events and conferences in Singapore and throughout Asia • Develop and maintain close relationships with the Insurers across the region • Second pair of eyes check on client documentation • Develop good working relationships and work closely with the main carriers in the region
• Lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. • Develop and implement robust credit risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. • Oversee the analysis and evaluation of structured credit products, identifying potential risks and opportunities. • Collaborate with other departments to integrate credit risk solutions into the overall risk management framework. • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of credit risk metrics, providing insights to senior management. • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in credit risk management, driving innovation within the team. • Provide expert guidance and support to clients, helping them navigate complex credit risk scenarios. • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth and expertise in credit risk solutions. • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry partners. • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, showcasing our expertise in credit risk management.
• A relevant bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience in credit risk management, with a focus on structured credit products. • Ability to work independently on a range of placements and take responsibility for key accounts. • Problem solving and decision-making skills essential • Excellent communication(written, verbal, oral & Presentation) skills and interpersonal skills essential. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial • Proven leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of credit risk modeling and assessment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle a large workload and prioritize work effectively. • Strong team player with good people skills. • Professional certifications in credit risk management (e.g., PRM, FRM) are highly advantageous. • Experience working with regulatory bodies and a solid understanding of compliance requirements. • Proficiency in using credit risk analysis tools and software. • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a track record of driving process improvements.
