Planning Engineer to support the delivery of a SWRO Project. Working within the Owner's Engineer team, the Planning Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and reporting project schedules, assessing construction progress, identifying potential delays, and supporting the successful delivery of the project. The role will provide high-level planning and project controls support across design review, construction, commissioning and handover stages, in line with Owner’s Engineer responsibilities for the Fujairah IWP
• Review, analyze, and monitor the Contractor's baseline schedule, recovery schedules, and detailed work programs including alignment with key project milestones from NTP to PCOD. • Provide high-level input on resource planning and deployment requirements based on construction progress. • Support schedule reviews from an Owner’s Engineer perspective, focusing on compliance, constructability and timely delivery. • Monitor construction progress and evaluate actual performance against planned activities. • Highlight key schedule concerns early and support the project team in tracking agreed mitigation actions. • Review critical path analysis and schedule impact assessments. • Contribute to monthly progress reporting and management presentations. • Review and validate contractor progress updates and earned value assessments. • Support change management processes by assessing schedule implications of variations. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to verify schedule integration. • Participate in project review meetings and present planning and progress updates to stakeholders. • Check planning activities are undertaken in accordance with project procedures and reporting standards and support documentation of planning decisions, schedule updates and agreed actions
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or equivalent). • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling. • Proven experience in large industrial, infrastructure, or desalination (SWRO) projects. • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project. • Knowledge of project control principles, scheduling techniques, and cost integration. • Familiarity with EPC project lifecycle and construction methodologies. • Experience working in the Middle East, preferably UAE. • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of risk management and delay analysis techniques. • Certification such as PMP or Primavera P6 (preferred). • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
