About this role
The Senior Microgrid Controls Engineer is a key technical contributor on Vertiv’s Microgrid Systems Engineering team. This individual will be responsible for the architecture, development, and implementation of advanced control systems for microgrids and large scale electric power plants supporting critical infrastructure. This role leads the development of plant‑level and subsystem control strategies using PLC‑based platforms (including codesys) and integrates BESS, renewable generation, conventional generation, and utility interconnections into reliable, grid‑compliant, and resilient systems. The engineer serves as a technical authority across controls logic, control philosophy, system behavior, and commissioning support, collaborating closely with cross functional engineering partners and customer teams.
