About this role
The Strategy & Analytics Senior Analyst is responsible for contributing to a team that informs VITAS’ strategy and innovation through the implementation of technology, process changes, and analytical insights.
• Plan, collaboratively develop and execute the corporation’s public policy agenda, including monitoring and responding to legislative initiatives at the federal and state level. • Inform enterprise clinical business decisions through the incubation and adoption of processes and strategies that lead to break through performance and exceptional clinical care. • Contributes to the implementation of new clinical technology platforms working across departments to prepare them for enterprise use. • Contributes to project roadmaps and participate as a team to work across stakeholder groups to move projects forward. • Demonstrate a collaborative approach to problem-solving and deliver solutions that solve big problems and align with enterprise strategy. • Collect, aggregate, and analyze clinical and operational data from multiple internal and external sources to drive mission-critical initiatives and shape the strategy for the business. • Clean and integrate complex healthcare data sets in order to create the data foundation for further analytics and the development of key insights. • Comfort with ambiguity and working in a fast-changing environment. Performs ad-hoc analyses that support strategic initiatives. • Develops and maintains strong working knowledge of Vitas systems and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Two to five years’ business and/or data analysis experience • Two to five years in a health care setting such as hospice, inpatient care settings, managed care organizations, long term care, etc. • Extremely strong skills in Microsoft Suite • Knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Data Verse, PowerApps • Must possess analytical and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to coordinate the work of others and work with all levels of management • Must possess the ability to work on various assignments simultaneously • Must possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Must possess technical and professional skills in data analysis • Must possess project management skills. • Experience with provider workflows (e.g., clinics, hospitals, rehab centers) and health plan workflows.
EDUCATION
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, MBA, or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent required
