. Job Title: Director of Pharmacy/ Class F Pharmacist –in- Charge

Department: Pharmacy Reports To: Associate Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees the pharmacy operation. Prepares medication, upon receipt of prescription, for use within the hospital. Enters drug information into pharmacy computer to establish patient drug regimes. Purchases pharmaceuticals and stocks pharmacy and ancillary departments with medications based on par levels. Communicates drug information with Nursing staff. Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medications. Checks all medications dispensed from the pharmacy. Communicates with nursing and physicians to compliment patient care. Has the responsibility for the procurement, storage, safe distribution, dispensing of all drugs and drug products to the offsite Emergency Department/Imaging Center staff, physicians, and patients.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: B.S. Pharmacy Required Certification: Certified in aseptic technique within 1 year of employment Required Licensure: Texas Board of Pharmacy FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
