Job Shift: Days Job Type: Per Diem The Electrophysiology Tech performs specialized cardiovascular procedures in the Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP), including but not limited to: records hemodynamic pressures and computerized data, operates special X-Ray equipment, burns c.d.’s, assists the invasive/interventional cardiologist with procedures using sterile technique and has knowledge of cardiac medications
• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities. • Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information. • Adheres to Corporate, Regional, Hospital and Departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
EDUCATION: Minimum:
• Graduate of accredited program in Radiology Technology, or Equivalent or • Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent (CCI/CVT) or • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program EXPERIENCE:
• One- year experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, EP Laboratory preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
• Radiologic Technologist • Radiologic Technology Registration/Licensure as required (ARRT) • Florida License CRT • RCIS within 12 months of hire required. • AHA ACLS Certification • AHA BLS Certification • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program • AHA BLS Certification • AHA ACLS Certification • Registry or Certification of Cardiovascular Technologist, RCES or RCIS within 12 months of hire.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Field of expertise: Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology • Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. • Able to perform effectively in a complex, patient centered environment.
