Palm Beach Health Network is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to support its Bariatric Surgery program in West Palm Beach. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative surgical team dedicated to helping patients achieve long-term health and wellness through comprehensive bariatric care.
The Nurse Practitioner will assist with perioperative and follow-up patient management while supporting continuity of care across the bariatric service line. This PRN opportunity is ideal for a provider seeking scheduling flexibility while remaining involved in a growing surgical specialty program.

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination • Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care • Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources • Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources • Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and Tenet nursing policy • Ensures that all contact with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner
Education and Experience
Includes minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job:
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required • Current Florida Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner License • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Provider required • Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification for Health Care Provider required • EMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred • Proficiency in a windows environment with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and the Internet is required • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and employees • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
