To maintain consistent pacemaker and ICD information and follow up on all enrolled pacemaker and ICD patients.
• Assess and reassess patients with implanted cardiac devices • Provides follow-up for adult and geriatric patients with implanted cardiac devices • Collaborates with other health care providers to assist in the adjustment of plan of care and implement changes as needed • Assists in maintaining a current database for device clinic patients • Knowledge and understanding of proper billing and reimbursement as it applies to implanted cardiac devices • Assist in device clinic scheduling. Triage phone calls from device patient • Performs additional device testing and documentation as needed for but not limited to A –V and V-V echo optimizations and clinical trials. Competently provides patient teaching and provides additional training/resources as needed (i.e. Patient ICD support groups, Health Fairs, etc). • Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources. • Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement. • Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of an approved Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technician program or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Certification: BLS Experience: 1-year cardiology experience. 1 year pacemaker experience preferred
