About this role
• Provide direct assistance to the Director of Health, Safety and Medical in establishing, directing, and managing the overall Site Medical Services and Operations; ensure the implementation, compliance, and performance to DOE directives and SRS standards with respect to those programs. • Act on behalf of the Director when required. Responsible for integrating SRS Medical requirements into a balanced program within constrained resources. Develop a planning, programming, and budgeting process that operates under sound financial management principles for each budget cycle. • Track and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of Site Medical programs. Identify potential risks to the program and develop mitigation strategies. • Provide guidance in the development, direction, implementation and evaluation of the SRS M&O integrating contractor Site Medical Programs. This includes recommending and implementing site policies through the development and maintenance of SRID's, site procedures, and assessment criteria in these areas. • Developing and implementing strategies to address revised regulations or regulatory issues of serious impact to Site Medical Programs including interacting with stakeholders to effect resolution that is cost effective and implementable across the Site. • Determine program goals, resource needs, allocate resources, and accounts for their effective use; implement program strategies that align with customer objectives and mission requirements. • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on program status, financial performance, and key metrics to senior officials and stakeholders. • Provide technical and programmatic guidance and direction to personnel and subcontractors in accomplishing work. • Provide on-call support on the off shift (evenings, nights and weekends) when rotating providers are unavailable.
