About this role
You’ll join the Knowledge Services team and focus on developing and supporting applications that automate documentation pipelines. This includes transforming XML-based content into multiple output formats, auto‑generating documentation from R&D data sources and improving the systems that publish our customer documentation. This is a hands‑on engineering role combining backend development, automation, and collaboration with documentation and R&D teams. Your work will make it easier for customers to understand and use complex technology through accurate, timely, and scalable documentation.
• Developing automation that converts XML-based documentation into multiple output formats • Building systems that auto‑generate documentation from R&D data sources (YANG models, JSON, APIs) • Creating and supporting applications that manage document conversion, validation, and publishing • Developing backend services and REST APIs that support documentation workflows • Collaborating with engineers, technical writers, and product teams to improve documentation tooling • Diagnosing and resolving issues across documentation generation and publishing pipelines • Supporting Linux environments and CI/CD processes related to documentation automation

• Strong experience with Python and the Django framework • Hands‑on experience with XML processing and transformation • Knowledge of HTML and PDF generation technologies • Experience working with YANG and JSON data • Comfort working in Linux environments • Experience using Git for source control • Backend development experience with PostgreSQL • Front‑end development skills using JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap • Experience designing and integrating REST APIs Nice to Have
• Knowledge of IP or Optical networking technologies • Experience with technical documentation systems or publishing pipelines • Familiarity with structured content and automation‑based documentation approaches
