About this role
The Senior Supplier Quality Technician performs technical tasks and verifies documentation to support the selection, evaluation and monitoring of suppliers. Job Duties: Provides support to the Engineers and Managers with gathering information to evaluate/qualify new suppliers and new raw material component. Supports the management of approved suppliers, via the Approved Supplier List (ASL). Assists with monitoring/evaluation of current approved suppliers by collecting quality assessment surveys, quality certificates, quality agreements, and inspection history. Aids SQE/SQM with escalating supplier quality issues discovered in receiving inspection or other (e.g. in-process, on-site audit). Contacts suppliers regarding component quality issues, nonconformance reports (NCRs) and supplier corrective action requests (SCARs). Provides support in the effectiveness check phase in the SCAR process. Supports the facilitation of the supplier change notification process (SCN). Assists and promotes supplier follow-up regarding audit findings. Maintains supplier files. Supports supplier scorecard process. Provides support in notifying suppliers for any drawing specification changes. Assists in collecting data for supplier quality metrics/charts. Performs additional duties as assigned.
