About this role
Supports an Extended School Year program; assists an occupational therapist with carrying out the therapeutic provisions of an IEP for students receiving Special Education services; implements activities to remediate and compensate for difficulties in a student?s sensorimotor, fine motor, visual motor, self-care, and perceptual skills and abilities that interfere with their school performance; assists with determining students' adaptive equipment needs; collaborates with teachers and assistants regarding positioning, handling, and exercise programs; documents treatment provided through maintenance of written records; provides recommendations on disability assessment, therapeutic handling, use of adaptive equipment, and supportive self-care.
