About this role
Supports an Extended School Year program; works with students aged 5-22 with intellectual disability, cognitive impairment, hearing or visual disabilities, and/or autism, some of which exhibit significantly challenging behaviors; supports instruction based on individual student needs in curriculum, communication, life, and social skills; assists with classroom and behavior management; implements individual student reinforcement systems; assists with routine care, including personal hygiene, feeding, and toileting; performs certain medical procedures or gives medication under supervision and with appropriate training; and aids medically fragile students and those physically impaired, which may involve transferring to and from wheelchairs to floor, table, or therapy devices.
