About this role
Supports an Extended School Year program; works with elementary school students that require intensive behavior support using applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies; student needs may include working on SOL-based or VESOL-based curriculum taught in the previous school year; supports instruction, classroom and behavior management; implements individual student reinforcement systems; assists with routine care, including personal hygiene, feeding, and toileting; performs certain medical procedures or gives medication under supervision and with appropriate training; aids medically fragile students and those physically impaired, which may involve transferring to and from wheelchairs to floor, table, or therapy devices.
