About this role
Participates in an Extended School Year program; provides educationally relevant services to middle and high school students receiving Special Education services; student needs include support for basic motor skills, functional mobility, pain reduction, injury recovery, and prevention of further physical damage; focuses on the development of skills and/or accommodations needed for students to participate with peers in the school setting; implements individualized therapy to achieve student?s IEP goals; facilitates student engagement in self-care, learning, productivity, leisure, and social participation; collaborates to promote awareness of community resources; provides guidance and professional development to staff on disability assessment, therapeutic handling, use of adaptive equipment, and supportive self-care. This position requires the flexibility to serve multiple sites on an itinerant schedule.
