About this role
Participates in an Extended School Year program; provides educationally relevant services to middle and high school students receiving Special Education services; student needs include support for physical, emotional, environmental, and social challenges; focuses on the development of skills and/or accommodations needed for students to participate in and benefit from school tasks, activities, roles, and routines within the school setting; facilitates student engagement in self-care, learning, productivity, leisure, and social participation; individualizes intervention strategies to support a safe and progressive environment; collaborates to promote awareness of community resources; provides guidance and professional development to staff in disability assessment, therapeutic handling, use of adaptive equipment, and supportive self-care. This position requires the flexibility to serve multiple sites on an itinerant schedule.
