About this role

• To perform the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the CPC.

• To perform his duties in the Endocrinology Clinic, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.

• Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology. emergencies.

• To perform endocrinal procedures – dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patient

• To provide consultation/referral services to the in patient services in his area of expertise.

• To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan.

• Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.

• Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).

• Performs additional duties as designated by the Head of the Department.

• Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.

• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.

• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.

• Maintain accurate medical records.

• Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others.

• Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner

• At least 3 - 5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level

• Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.

• Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority. Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)

• Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM /
